“Starry Eyes” Teaser Trailer — SXSW Horror Thriller starring Alexandra Essoe

"Starry Eyes," the LA-set, low-budget horror thriller that casts up-and-comer Alexandra Essoe as a young aspiring actress whose shot at Hollywood stardom turns into a blood-drenched nightmare, will be trying to scare up some buzz when it premieres next week at SXSW. You can check out the film's newly-released teaser trailer, which will certainly give you a case of the heebie-jeebies and will probably make you think twice about moving to the so-called "City of Angels."

Written and directed by Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, the filmmaking team behind the 2003 documentary "Postcards from the Future" about author Chuck Palahniuk's controversial book tour, "Starry Eyes" also stars Pat Healy (Cheap Thrills), Noah Segan (Looper), Fabianne Therese, and Amanda Fuller. Until it reaches a distribution deal, the film will likely continue to run on the festival circuit following its world debut at SXSW.

synopsis:
Determined to make it as an actress in Hollywood, Sarah Walker spends her days working a dead-end job, enduring petty friendships and going on countless casting calls in hopes of catching her big break. After a series of strange auditions, Sarah lands the leading role in a new film from a mysterious production company. But with this opportunity comes bizarre ramifications that will transform her both mentally and physically into something beautiful ... and all together terrifying.
