“Paddington” Teaser Trailer — Upcoming Family Film Based on Classic British Children’s Books, ‘The Paddington Bear’

Here's the teaser trailer for "Paddington," the British-produced family film starring the voice of Colin Firth as a young droopy hat-wearing Peruvian bear who has stowed away on a cargo ship to England, only to find himself stranded in London's busiest train station. It's Hugo meets The Terminal meets a small brown bear from Peru.

Based on the classic children's illustration books by English author Michael Bond, "Paddington" was produced by "Gravity" and "Harry Potter" producer David Heyman and directed by Paul King, who's probably best known for directing the zany British comedy series "The Mighty Boosh."

The cast also includes Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and Julie Walters -- although none of them, including Firth, are seen or heard in this first preview for the upcoming CG animated-slash-live action hybrid feature, which won't hit theaters until the end of the year (December 12th in the States, and November 26 in the UK).

synopsis:
From the beloved children's novels by Michael Bond and producer David Heyman (HARRY POTTER), PADDINGTON tells the story of the comic misadventures of a young Peruvian bear (voiced by Colin Firth) who travels to the city in search of a home. Finding himself lost and alone, he begins to realize that city life is not all he had imagined -- until he meets the kindly Brown family who read the label around his neck that says "Please look after this bear. Thank you," and offer him a temporary haven. It looks as though his luck has changed until this rarest of bears catches the eye of a museum taxidermist.
