'Orange Is the New Black' Season 1 Blu-ray and DVD Arrives May 15th

Every sentence has a story in the smash hit series Orange Is the New Black: Season One arriving on Blu-ray Disc (plus Digital HD UltraViolet), DVD (plus Digital UltraViolet) and Digital HD May 13 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Hailed by critics as "magnificent and thoroughly engrossing" (Washington Post), the hugely popular dark comedy from Weeds creator Jenji Kohan broke viewing records for its premiere season. Starring Taylor Schilling (Argo, Stay) in a Golden Globe nominated performance, Orange Is the New Black also won "TV Program Of The Year" from the American Film Institute (AFI).

Based on the best-selling memoir by Piper Kerman, Orange Is the New Black also stars Jason Biggs (American Pie franchise), Laura Prepon (TV's That '70s Show), Kate Mulgrew (TV's Star Trek: Voyager, TV's NTSF:SD:SUV::), Pablo Schreiber (TV's Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Showtime's Weeds), Natasha Lyonne (American Pie, G.B.F.), Taryn Manning (TV's Sons of Anarchy), Michael Harney (Showtime's Weeds, HBO's True Detective) and rising talents Danielle Brooks and Uzo Aduba.

Orange Is the New Black follows engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman, whose wild past comes back to haunt her and results in her arrest and detention in a federal penitentiary. To pay her debt to society, Piper trades her comfortable New York life for an orange prison jumpsuit and finds unexpected conflict and camaraderie amidst an eccentric group of inmates.

Timed to the series' second season premiere, Orange Is the New Black: Season One will include all 13 episodes on a three-disc Blu-ray and four-disc DVD set, packed with bonus materials fans will love including numerous featurettes that contain behind the scenes interviews with author Piper Kerman, series creator Jenji Kohan and favorite cast members, along with a gag reel and special episode commentaries with the series producers. The Orange Is the New Black: Season One Blu-ray Disc and DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.97 and $39.98, respectively.

‘Downton Abbey’ Season 4 Trailer: Love, Death and Integration

Downton Abbey will continue to explore modern morals with an antique feel in season 4 as Gary Carr joins the cast as the first black character to grace Crawley House. From the look of the trailer, he’s got some love and music in store.

What will be most interesting is the transitioning phase the story has to go through. After three years, they’ve plowed through WWI, focused on the roaring 20s and chronicled a huge pile of intense (soap operatic) drama. The family seems to face a crushing tragedy or soaring triumph on a weekly basis, and now the original impetus for the show’s existence has faded completely from the rearview mirror.

It’s all especially true after last season’s finale. The show finds itself evolving in more ways than one. Here’s a tease of the ch-ch-ch-ch-changes:
